A new study has found that workers who get between 7- 8 hours beauty sleep a night are more reliable, taking less sicks days over the course of a 7 year study.
The study found that it didn't matter if employees either had less than the reccomended 7-8 or more, the amount of days spent sick were the same. If sleep issues were to be directly managed employers could reduce sick related pay by up to 28%.
The perfect amount of sleep has been set at 7.6 hours for women and 7.8 hours for men. [1]
This amount of sleep allows the body to go through the several sleep stages needed every night in order to repair and rest the brain.
So set your alarm clocks and miss less work.
